The history books document the Bealsville community as a community settled by freed slaves in the year 1865.

The history books document the Bealsville community as a community settled by freed slaves in the year 1865. They state that twelve original families of Peter Dexter, Bryant Horton, Roger Smith, Robert Story, Isaac Berry, Mills Holloman, Sam Horton, grandfather of O. V. Hargrett, Sr., Mary Reddick, Jerry Stephens, Neptune Henry, Steven Allen, and Abe Messenger, upon gaining their freedom, remained on their former slave owner’s plantation to plan their futures.

Glover School Activities

The residents along with local foundation and/business support provides funding for many needed services to the community. Mini grants have also been awarded through Hillsborough County Office of Neighborhood Relations and local Sheriff’s Office. Glover School currently hosts a number of programs to include a technology center offering free computer classes, free WI-FI extending throughout the campus, YLM mentoring at-risk girls, Bealsville Eagles Youth Football & Cheerleading Program, senior citizens nutrition program, civic group meeting rooms, and an auditorium equipped with kitchen, and stage. Vacation Bible Study Kick Off is in June. Community Churches will kick off several weeks of VBS. HCC will be providing information on college enrollment as well as the Plant City Eagles Hat Drive.
